Backup One or more sites and its associated EPF data can be backed up and downloaded from XECUTE Config.

  1. Select a data source to store the backup by clicking the ellipsis button. The data source can be any location in Model Repository, and is used as a placeholder for files that are later downloaded in step 7.

  2. Click Backup to open the Create Backup window.

  3. In the Create Backup window, select the sites to back up and set the data to include as described in the table below.

  4. Optionally add Tags or Comments.

  5. Click Backup. The window closes and the backup starts processing.

The backup will take some time to process as shown in Backup service status.

When the backup is ready, it appears in the list of Latest Backups.

  6. Click the blue Arrow icon to download the backup file.

To restore the backup, use the XECUTE Server Manager application on the XECUTE server. The restored sites will be created in a new XECUTE database, for more information see XECUTE Server Manager in the XECUTE Administration Guide.

Field Description
Sites A list view of the site names. Select All or individual sites to backup.
EPF Data Sets

The EPF datasets used in the Data Feed In configurations and the Data Feed Out PublicationPoint datasets. The EPFdata is required to fully restore a site.

Enabled by default, and recommended.

Haulage Model The haulage model associated with the sites. The model includes the base model and XECUTE connection roads. Enabled by default, and recommended.
Input Sources

The data files used to configure the site; block models, topography and so on. The original source files can be useful to troubleshoot problem geometries - Topography, Pit Limits, Grade Control Shapes and so on.

Disabled by default because it can slow down the backup, and the data from the source files is already included in the SQL backup files as it has been processed by XECUTE.

Logs

The server logs.

Enabled by default, and recommended.

Tags Optional tags to add to the Model Repository package.
Comment

Comment to add to the Model Repository package, for example, a description of why the backup was required.

The comment also appears as a tooltip on the download icon.
